Most Recent Projects

Spartik House – Auckland, NZ
– Led design of a new curtain wall system
– Originally specified as all new curtain wall, this exceeded the budget; I developed a glass replacement concept to reuse parts of the existing curtain wall which significantly reduced cost while maintaining integrity, resulting in an updated facade at a percentage of the originally projected price

Housing New Zealand – Auckland, NZ
– Headed the development of Housing New Zealand Mid-Rise Building Enclosure Design Guide, understanding the client objectives of low maintenance, cost-effective solutions
– For the higher density buildings, my team developed decision making and evaluation tools for designers to reference to maintain quality and optimise cost

The International – Auckland, NZ
– Led the design on a 17 storey refurbishment, including a façade consisting of bespoke 3.3m X 4.5m triple sliding doors able to accommodate cyclonic forces
Performance mock-up testing was completed overseas and construction began in 2018

134 & 206 Manukau Road – Auckland, NZ
– Headed dual site design and construction with common elements yet distinctive architecture; featured steel stud, and an exterior insulated wall cladding system, minimising heat loss and thermal bridging.

521 2nd Avenue – Seattle, WA, USA
– Undertaking a complete forensic investigation of curtain wall failures, I personally designed the repair details and implemented the repair program
My work on this saved the owners from complete replacement, spending a fraction of the originally projected cost while restoring the integrity of the curtain wall.

Mosler Lofts – Seattle, WA, USA
– Headed the remediation plan, including the exterior, the mechanical system, and fire stopping repairs
– Directed the simultaneous coordination of exterior scaffolding, access to each unit over multiple days, and management of several construction trades and consultants while the building remained occupied

Governor’s Tower – Vancouver, BC, Canada
– Led construction of recladding a 244 unit, 32 storey tower in Vancouver, the project covered multiple cladding types, unique details, and multiple trades
As a direct result of my team’s efficiencies, the project came in $12 million under budget

UBC Housing – Vancouver, BC, Canada
– Led the design and construction of three buildings, oversaw concrete repairs, three roof replacements, and targeted recladding; due to innovative practise we improved thermal efficiency and minimised construction time
